UNIMAGNA TROUBLESHOOT

Problem Problem Cause Remedies
Unit will not run Blown fuse Replace fuse
Low voltage – Check outlet with volt meter, should read 198-242 volts.
– If circuit is overloaded, either reduce load or have electrician install separate circuit.
– If unable to remedy by any other way, install AVR
Defective service cord Check continuity; repair or replace if necessary
Unit electrically grounded Check continuity; repair or replace if necessary
Broken lead to compressor, timer or T-control Repair or replace broken leads
Defective AVR / motor protector Check AVR /motor protector, replace if necessary
Defective motor or T-control Jumper across terminals of control. If units runs and connection are all right, replace T-control
Defective Relay Check relay, replace if necessary
Defective Overload Check overload, replace if necessary
Defective Compressor Check compressor, replace if necessary
Chiller too warm Repeated door openings Instruct user
Overloading of shelves, blocking normal air circulation in cabinet. Instruct user
T-control knob set at low position, not allowing unit to operate often enough Turn knob to colder position.
Poor door seal Level cabinet, adjust door gasket. Replace gasket if necessary.
Not enough air circulation around cabinet. Relocate cabinet or provide clearances to allow sufficient circulation.
Dirty condenser / obstructed airflow Clean condenser and clear air passage
Shortage of refrigerant Check for leak; for system repro
Defective intake value Replace motor compressor
Chiller too cold T-control knob turned to coldest position Turn control knob to warmer position.
Defective T-control Replace temperature control
T-control sensor not properly positioned. Reposition t-control sensor properly and tighten clamp
Unit runs all the time won’t cut off Not enough air circulation around cabinet or air circulation is restricted – Relocate cabinet or provide clearances around cabinet.
– Remove restriction
Poor door seal – Check and make necessary adjustments
– Replace gasket if necessary

Refrigerant charge Undercharge / overcharge – check, system reprocessing
Room temp too warm Ventilate room as much as possible
Defective T-control Check t-control; replace if necessary
Excessive door openings Instruct customer
Noisy operation Tube vibration Move tube
Cabinet not level Level cabinet
Drain pan vibration Move pan; place stiffener if necessary
Fan blade hitting guard or housing Move fan blade; reposition
Compressor external noise Replace compressor rubber mounting
Compressor internal noise Replace compressor
Abnormal cut-in/cut-off Low voltage – Check outlet. Voltage should be 220V +/- 10%. Check for several appliances connected on the same circuit or extremely long or undersize extension cord used.
– Provide AVR if necessary
Defective AVR Replace AVR
Defective relay Replace Relay
Defective overload Replace overload protector
Frost or ice formation on evaporator fins Defective defrost heater Replace heater
Defective T-control Replace T-control
Dirty evaporator fins Clean evaporator fins
Leaky door gasket: deform / worn out – Knead gasket
– Replace gasket if necessary
Mis-align door Adjust door hinges; align door
Excessive door openings Instruct customer
Intermittent icing of evaporator plate Moisturized refgn system Reprocess system
